Wild swimming with Gabrielle Hales
In our photography and films, we always want to work with models who aren't models – rather people connected to the story that we are trying tell, or who have a story themselves that we'd like to celebrate.
For our recent photoshoot, we were delighted to be joined by Gabrielle Hales; yoga instructor, writer and founder of Secret Yoga Club.
She started SYC in 2012 to gather a community of people who were connected by an interest in discovering themselves through a creative and immersive practice of yoga, sound therapy, live music, supper clubs and events. Her work revolves around connecting people, to a community, to themselves and to experiences.
Gabrielle and her baby daughter Maya visited West Cornwall in June for a week of swimming in the sea, connecting with nature and eating nourishing food, staying with Emily's son George, and his girlfriend Valentina. Whilst they were down they spent a morning by the sea, on the South Coast of West Penwith, and Val captured Gabrielle having a moment by the sea.
